It is getting to be that time of
year again. The nights are getting cold and the snow is starting to fall.
Every year I tend to fall on my rear. This is also the time of the year that
Jesse ends up on his rear too, so at least I am not alone. So far I have
managed to stay up right, Jesse has not been so lucky. I will have to tell you of my fall last year, since I
lack a fun falling story for this year. Than I will tell you of Jesses fall.
While walking with Jesse from my
class, I noticed that there was ice everywhere.
I only being in cork bottom slippers (they were cute shoes.) realized
that I was going to be in trouble. Earlier that day I had already managed to
dump my school books into a puddle which made me late to class. Jesse came by to see
if I was okay, after hearing of my backpacks protest to the many heavy books
that I had placed in it. As I took the
first step from the safety of the building I felt like a calf on ice. My legs
went stiff as I gingerly walked beside Jesse. Doing the zombie shuffle we attempted to go to my car.
When suddenly my legs went out from under me and I fell on my butt. Jesse was taken by surprise as I vanished from
his eye site. Taking a quick look around he began to laugh at my misfortune. While still laughing and appologizing he helped my to my feet and we walked to my car.
This
year Jesse was the one to be taken out by the ice. Trying to be a good
boyfriend Jesse was cleaning the snow off of my truck. I was sitting in the
warm truck, making sure it stayed warm for him.
He had finished the front of my truck and moved on to the back. Still
trying to warm myself up I huddled closer to the heater and continued to amusedly
watch him. The little back window of my truck wasn’t much of a view as I would have liked. It was however, enough
for me to see one arm go up and a leg go up as he fell on the ice. With a thud he landed on his rear. Being
concerned as I was I mumbled poor Chico and stayed in my seat. It was cold
outside and he would be inside in a moment. When he came into the vehicle he had scratches and cuts all over his hands.
